Crankies at Art Garden Gallery

A crankie is a scrolling story telling box, popular with puppeteers. I've performed with them for a few years but these new little ones are made to live on their own, maybe at your house! Each is in a wooden box designed by me and cut out on the Asheville Maker Space laser cutter. The scrolls are made of muslin, 20" to 50" long, hand drawn with sharpie, and colored with pencil and watercolor.
